Urban walks
Apart from the monumental and historical attractions of the smaller villages we can’t forget a series of historical events that occurred in bigger towns . including the ones that affected the city of Figueres during the Spanish Civil War, where another series of interesting stories can be heard relating to its medieval past , the Jewish quarter, the arrival of public lighting, the covering of the current Rambla, etc… offering a whole series of thematic visits can be complemented with the entrance to one of its museums.
In the city of La Bisbal d’Emporda the Peninsular War can be traced through its streets, its most up-to-date medieval past or stories when the city becomes the market par excellence of the region with events such as the arrival of the train.
